Bernice Mcqueen

Bernice grew up under strict Pentecostal training, as a teen she was saved, and filled with the gift of the holy spirit. As Bernice grew into a young adult, she knew that God had a special calling on her life. One of Bernice's favorite scriptures is found in Luke 4:18 The spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised. Bernice was born to Eddie and Lessie Lee and has 4 siblings; Sylvia, Michelle, Eddie and Shanell. She is married to Demetrius McQueen and have 2 wonderful, children, Marc Motley Jr. and Shayla McQueen. She has been an active member of Friendship Ministries Inc. for 27 years, and has served on the following auxilaries and has held various positions. She has acted as a trustee, women's department president, choir president, praise & worship leader, a member of the missionary department and is a member of the ministerial staff.

Bernice is a graduate of Ramapo College; she has earned a BA in Social Science with a concentration in Women’s Studies and minor studies in Psychology. She is a former Newark Police Officer. Bernice is an advocate for victims of domestic violence. She has acted as a volunteer within the Essex County Family Court, for victims of domestic violence. Bernice is very concerned about the well being of women, and she has a genuine love and compassion for people. Bernice states that it is her endeavor to live holy, serve God to the best of her ability and preach God's word without compromise or fear.
